Belly Buddies A six week course created and developed by Cheryl Gullo who facilitates the class. The purpose of this class is to educate, instruct, encourage and prepare expectant moms for the first several weeks and months postpartum. We discuss from the very basics of baby care to dealing with a crying newborn, breastfeeding, learning to be honest with ourselves about our need for help, where to find it, who to ask and how to ask…..hot topics: going back to work or not, and if so how and when, postpartum depression, building a support network, and much, much more! This class begins each week with a general topic for the day, and breaks off into gently directed group discussion, it’s focus is to encourage, uplift and support one another as moms and moms to be…..whether your first pregnancy or your 10 th this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women at who are dealing with much of the same thoughts, concerns worries and excitement that you are. Light supper is served buffet style each week. The sixth class husbands are encouraged to attend for our open forum expert panel Q&A.
Expecting Mom's during second trimester.
$60 Bella and Babe Beginning Music, movement, rhythm instruments and developmentally appropriate activities that mom and baby engage in together for a special time of fun, bonding and play! With our experienced instructor, mother of 5, nurse and childcare specialist you will have the opportunity to chat about the issues at hand for a mother of an infant, the joys, the fears, the stressors, the milestones and the accomplishments. We will encourage one another and foster an atmosphere of positive reinforcement for both mom and baby. Class runs for 10 weeks.
New mom with baby, 2 weeks to 12 months . $75 Bella and Babe Growing Dance, movement, play, music, rhythm instruments and developmentally appropriate activities that mom and toddler do together! Age appropriate snack for the children and coffee and for mom’s during our informal open discussion of the hot topics for mothers of toddlers! As always, a time of encouragement, sharing and support for one another. Class runs for 10 weeks.
Mom with 12 to 24 month old. $75 Happiest Baby on the Block This amazing program was developed by well known pediatrician Dr Harvey Karp. His method known as the “cuddle cure” or “the 5 S’s” has been proven by many parents to be the secret to triggering the calming reflex in baby. There are no guarantees or miracles, but his unique way of combining some simple, and easy to learn techniques can truly help any baby to be one of the happiest babies on the block! Don’t find yourself unprepared in an emergency, you will never regret taking this class, hopefully you will never need to use this knowledge, but it sure won’t hurt to have it! $40 per couple.
